Shane Batchelor
Director of Operations for Nashville-based Strategic Hospitality, LLC. The Strategic Hospitality portfolio includes well-known establishments Paradise Park, The Patterson House, Merchants and rooftop private event space Aerial.
Shane, a born and raised Nashvillian, graduated from Nashville State Community College magna cum laude in Architectural Engineering. However, engineering took second place behind his love for the hospitality industry.
Shane has more than 15 years of hospitality and restaurant experience, beginning as busser and moving up through the ranks to Director of Operations. He has had the opportunity to experience the demanding work and overwhelming excitement of opening almost a dozen restaurants and bars.
In 2003, Shane joined the staff of Bar Twenty3, which would become a nationally recognized phenomenon winning multiple awards, including the Conde Nast Traveler “Top 30 Bars in the World.” Eight years later, Shane is still working with the Goldberg brothers as Strategic Hospitality’s first employee.
With Strategic, Shane rose to become the general manager of Bar Twenty3 and City Hall. He was then placed in charge of the consulting and opening of The Patterson House in 2009. Shane then went on to open the timeless Diana’s Sweet Shoppe in downtown Nashville in early 2010. He is now a fixture in the Nashville staple Merchants Restaurant, which became a part of the Strategic family in 2010. Shane is determined to restoring the prestige of this local landmark and returning it to the apex of downtown dining in Nashville.
As a member of the Strategic Hospitality family, Shane is dedicated to the commitment of excellence the company brings to every project and the mission to continue to bring new, forward-thinking opportunities to continue to shape Nashville’s entertainment landscape.
